Meredith comes to Bluefield College after a stellar softball career at Smithfield (Va.) High School. As a junior she was All-Conference, All-Region and All-State as a designated hitter. Her senior season she was All-State first team designated hitter, All-Conference first team as a first baseman, All-Region first team first baseman, All-State second team as a designated hitter. She was an honor roll student all four years of high school and did volunteer work in the community. She is the daughter of Brien and Sara Throckmorton.
