Bluefield, Va. — The Bluefield University Rams put on a strong offensive performance but came up just short against Rio Grande, falling 8-7 in a hard-fought match up.
Despite an early five-run deficit, the Rams showed resilience, clawing their way back into the game with consistent hitting and clutch performances at the plate. Bluefield outhit Rio Grande 15-8, displaying their offensive firepower throughout the contest.
Senior Andres Vega led the Rams' charge, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and demonstrating great discipline at the plate with a walk.
