COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Bluefield University Rams hit the road for a tough South Carolina match-up, battling through two hard-fought games against Columbia (SC). Despite the final scores of 3-1 and 9-1, the Rams displayed resilience, strong pitching performances, and moments of offensive spark that showed promise for the rest of the season.
Game 1: Glover's Strong Outing and Bailey's RBI Keep Rams in the Fight
In the opener, Isabella Smith ignited the Rams' offense, scoring off an RBI from Olivia Bailey in the fourth inning to keep Bluefield right in the mix. The Rams' pitching staff held their own, with Ali Glover delivering an impressive six-inning performance, allowing just three earned runs while striking out two.
