Bluefield, VA - The Bluefield University women's basketball team closed out their 2024-25 season in style, defeating St. Andrews 81-64 on Senior Night at The Dome. The victory capped off a season of growth, as the Rams improved to a 5-21 overall record, a step forward from last year's campaign.

Seniors Lina Pagan, Destiny Long, Haley Smith, and Kiarra Guzman were honored before tip-off, each making their final appearance in a Bluefield uniform. Their impact was felt on the court, as they played a crucial role in securing the season-ending win.

Long led the charge with a game-high 25 points, showcasing her ability to score in the paint and at the free-throw line, where she went 9-for-10. Pagan was a force on both ends of the floor, tallying 16 points, six assists, and five steals. Smith provided a spark with 18 points, draining five three-pointers to stretch the St. Andrews defense. Guzman battled in the paint and contributed defensively before fouling out.

The Rams came out strong, taking a 22-16 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. Their defensive intensity forced 18 turnovers, leading to 23 points off takeaways. Bluefield's offense clicked in the fourth quarter, closing the game on a 25-point surge to seal the victory.

With the season now complete, Bluefield turns its focus to the offseason, looking to build on the progress made this year. For the seniors, it was a memorable farewell, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance and dedication.
