In a nail-biting overtime finish, the Bluefield University Rams faced a narrow defeat against Columbia (SC) with a final score of 75-78.
The game kicked off with intense competition, evident from the halftime score, which stood at 36-37 in favor of Columbia (SC). Throughout the game, Destiny Long led the Rams with an impressive performance, scoring 28 points. Supporting her were Lina Pagan and Ahmiah Jordan, who contributed 12 and 10 points respectively. Pagan also added 4 rebounds and a steal to her tally.
Other notable performances included Ashanti Northcross with 9 points, and Elle Gunter who secured 10 rebounds along with 5 points, highlighting the team's defensive efforts.
Looking ahead, the Rams will face the University of Pikeville on February 5, back at home in the Dome Gymnasium.
