BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The Bluefield University women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by Spartanburg Methodist on Saturday afternoon at the East River Complex in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.
The Pioneers scored all three goals in the first half to take control early and held the Rams without a shot attempt on the day. Tori Staats made five saves in goal for Bluefield, while Taylor Inocelda-Bihag, Hazel Parlett, and Moriah Mingo anchored the back line in the second half to limit further damage.
With the loss, Bluefield falls to 1-9 overall and 0-8 in AAC play.
The Rams return to action October 8, when they travel to Columbia College for an 11:00 a.m. kickoff.
