WALESKA, Ga. – Bluefield University quarterback Ethan Cash has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Cash delivered a standout performance in the Rams' 43-40 victory over Pikeville, completing 20 of 31 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 62 rushing yards and two scores on 13 carries. Both totals marked career highs for Cash as a Bluefield Ram. His day was highlighted by an 82-yard touchdown strike to Marlin Haywood to open the second quarter.
A native of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, Cash ranks third in the AAC in passing yards per game (202.9) and fourth in passing touchdowns (7) this season. The honor marks his first weekly award as a member of the Bluefield program.
