COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Bluefield University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Columbia College on Saturday afternoon in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.
The Koalas scored twice in each half to secure the win, while Bluefield managed three total shots in the contest. Autumn Matthews recorded eight saves in goal for the Rams, turning away several quality chances throughout the afternoon. Sara Cox and Joanna Lemus-Rios each registered a shot on goal, and Moriah Mingo added a late attempt that struck the crossbar.
With the loss, Bluefield falls to 1-9Â overall and 0-8Â in AAC play.
The Rams return to the East River Soccer Complex October 13, for a noon kickoff in a resumed match against Johnson University.
