Waleska, GA.-In a hard-fought AAC conference game, the Bluefield University Rams were defeated by the Reinhardt Eagles, 81-63, on January 4 at the Brown Athletic Center. Despite a strong comeback effort after trailing 35-31 at halftime, the Rams couldn't overcome the Eagles' consistent scoring.
Destiny Long led the Rams with an impressive double-double, scoring 21 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and recording six steals. Lina Pagan also contributed significantly with 12 points, four rebounds, and a steal. Ashanti Northcross added eight points and one steal, while Elle Gunter chipped in with four points and five rebounds. Ahmiah Jordan rounded out the team's notable performances with seven points and four rebounds.
The Rams now hold a 2-10 overall record, including a 2-6 mark in conference play. The team remains determined to bounce back as they prepare to face the University of Pikeville on January 7.
