Tough Road Game for Rams Ends in 4-0 Defeat

Pikeville, KY – The Women's Soccer team encountered a tough challenge on the road against the University of Pikeville, suffering a 4-0 loss.

Throughout the first half, the Rams showcased a strong defense, highlighted by key saves from goalkeeper Autumn Matthews and solid contributions from the defensive players. The Pikeville Bears attempted 15 shots, all blocked by the Rams' defense, before finally finding the net at the end of the half, leaving the score at 1-0.

The second half started at a faster pace, with the Bears scoring just a few minutes in. They followed up with two more goals, extending their lead to 4-0. With just five minutes remaining, Senior Kaylei Newman made a valiant attempt, firing a tough shot that was skillfully saved by Pikeville's goalie, wrapping up the game.

As they regroup and focus on improvement, the team is eager to bounce back in their next match. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Rams at home on Wednesday, October 2nd, against KCU at 4 PM!
