BLUEFIELD – Tyrone Woods pitched eight strong innings and the Bluefield University got strong defensive play from its infield along with the longball to give Rams head coach Mike White his 498^th coaching win, 5-2 over the Kentucky Christian University Knights, Saturday afternoon at Bowen Fieldl on Senior Day.
Prior to the game Bluefield University recognized seniors Dalton Graham, Brady Joslyn, Patrick Lundblom, Johnny Medina, and Garrett Salameno for their dedication and contributions to the BU baseball program.
INSIDE THE GAME

• The Rams went up 2-0 in the first on a run-scoring single by Medina and later a fielder's choice that brought Medina home.
• BU extended its lead to 4-0 in the third on a two-run blast over the left field wall by Joslyn.
• KCU pushed across a run in the top of the fourth, but Bryce Medlock responded with a solo homer to leaf off the bottom of the fourth for BU.
• The Knights added a single run in the sixth.

LEADERS

• Woods earned the victory, pitching eight innings with 8 strikeouts and only one walk.
• Noah Burtner pitched the ninth to pick up the save.
• Andres Vega and Joslyn each had two hits.
• Joslyn and Medlock each had a home run.
