BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield University Rams used a strong second half to run past the Montreat College Cavaliers 87-74, Tuesday night at the Dome Gymnasium in an Appalachian Athletic Conference contest.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Montreat jumped ahead early and held a 13-4 lead.
• Bluefield went on a 10-0 run to take a 14-13 lead.
• The teams battled back-and-forth, and the Cavaliers led 42-38 at halftime.
• BU retook the lead 45-44 and led 69-58 midway through the second half.
• For the game Bluefield shot 59% from the field.

LEADERS

• Quantavis McKinney led Bluefield with 22 points, three rebounds, and a block.
• Christian Bullock finished with 16 points, three assists and two steals. He made three three-point shots.
• Donavan Martin tallied 12 points with five rebounds an five assists.
