BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University honored Gabby Nielson on Senior Night for the BU women's basketball team. In a pregame ceremony Nielson was escorted onto the court by her mother and BU Basketball Character Coach Dr. Valerie "Ma" Burrell. Nielson was presented gifts by BU Interim President Dr. Michael Salmeier, Athletic Director Corey Mullins, and Head Coach Markel Cox.
In the season-ending game the Rams fell to Milligan University 100-64. Neilson in her final game for BU had a team-high eight rebounds and scored six points. Tamera Maple led all scorers with 32 points. Bluefield finished the season with a 4-22 overall record and 4-18 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
