BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University Rams women's basketball claimed a 58-44 win over the Kentucky Christian University Knights in Appalachian Athletic Conference play Wednesday evening at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME

• After a 10 all tie the Rams scored six unanswered to lead 16-10 at the end of the first quarter.
• BU led by as many as 12 points in the second quarter and took a 29-19 lead into halftime.
• Bluefield's largest lead lame midway through the third after threes by Haley Smith and Tamera Maple.
• KCU cut the BU lead to eight, 43-35 with just under two minutes to play in the third.
• The Rams led 45-35 heading into the fourth quarter.

LEADERS

• Maple led the Rams with 21 points and five rebounds.
• Elle Gunter had a team-high 12 rebounds along with four assists and two blocks.
• Smith finished with 11 points and sank three treys.
