Barbourville, KY – The Bluefield University women's basketball team opened up conference play on the road against Union College on Wednesday, falling to the Bulldogs 76-52. While the Rams kept it close in the first half, Union pulled away after the break to secure the victory.

The Rams stayed competitive throughout the first half, trailing by just 7 points (35-28) at the break. However, Union came out strong in the second half to extend their lead.
Destiny Long led the Rams in scoring with 17 points, also contributing 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lina Pagan followed with 11 points, while also pulling down 3 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists.
Ahmiah Jordan scored 9 points and grabbed 3 rebounds. Elle Gunter added 6 points and 2 rebounds, while Kiarra Guzman contributed 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Despite the loss, the Rams will look to regroup as they return home to face Columbia College on Friday, November 15, at 4:00 PM. The game will be an important opportunity for the Rams to get back on track in conference play and build momentum for the rest of the season.
