Bluefield, VA – The Bluefield Rams showcased their strength this weekend, securing two conference victories on home turf, defeating Bryan and Tennessee Wesleyan both with a commanding score of 3-0.
On Friday night, prior to their match against Bryan, the Rams celebrated Nayerly Jimenez's impressive milestone of surpassing 2,500 assists during her recent trip to Kentucky Christian University. This recognition energized the team as they faced Bryan, a traditionally tough opponent. Despite earlier defeating Bryan in three sets earlier this season, the Rams' home-court advantage proved crucial.
Bluefield's offense was led by Liangelys Santana and Joslyn Evans, who delivered a relentless performance, punctuated by impressive kills and blocks. The defense also shone, with standout plays from Georgia Lewis and Eledy Torres, who ensured minimal balls hit the floor.
