BLUEFIELD – The Appalachian Athletic Conference first place and undefeated Reinhardt University Eagles downed the Bluefield University Rams women's basketball team 73-51 Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Bluefield held an early lead before Reinhardt surged and led 14-9 at the end of the first quarter.
• The Rams battled but Reinhardt took a 30-17 lead into the locker room.
• BU remained within striking distance through the third period and RU led 46-32 heading into the final 10 minutes.
• Reinhardt controlled the fourth quarter and picked up the 22 point win.
• Both teams struggled from the field. Bluefield shot 34%, Reinhardt 37% for the game.

LEADERS

• Ahmiah Jordan topped the Bluefield scoring column with 21 points. She added four rebounds and an assist.
• Destiny Long dropped in 10 points and pulled down six rebounds before leaving the game with an injury in the second half.
• Kiarra Guzman was a force in the paint for BU with eight blocked shots and nine rebounds.
