Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NEW ORLEANS – The Bluefield University Women's Volleyball team wrapped up its New Orleans trip dropping a pair of matches, Saturday. The Rams fell to Ave Maria (Fla.) 3-0, and to host Loyola (La.) 3-0.
Against Ave Maria the Rams fell 25-27, 18-25, 16-25. Joslyn Evans had 13 digs and nine kills. Lianette Burgos finished with 24 assists, and Georgia Lewis had 12 digs.
In the final match of the tournament against host Loyola, the Rams lost 17-25, 8-25, 16-25.
Nayerly Jimenez had 16 assists and seven digs. Evans had 10 digs and six kills, and Lewis had 11 digs.
Evans was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Rams are back in action Sept. 1-2 at the University of Rio Grande Tournament in Rio Grande, Ohio.
