Box Score 2 LAURINBURG, S.C. – Bluefield University softball gained its first Appalachian Athletic Conference win of the season in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader at St. Andrews University. The Rams won game one 9-6 and the Knights took the nightcap 10-8.
In the opener
Gianna Sloan-Lebron was 3-for-5 and scored a pair of runs.
Kristina Sanchez was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Lexie McDuffie got the win in the circle. BU scored three times in the top of the seventh to solidify the win.
In game two St. Andrews scored all 10 of its runs in the first three innings and then held off a late Rams charge. BU scored three in the fifth and two in the sixth to close the gap.
Chara Wootten was 2-for-2 had a walk, was hit by a pitch, and drove in two runs. Sloan-Lebron was 2-for-5, and
Macy Martin was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
