BLUEFIELD – Sage McLellan's three with 6.4 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 68 and his three with 1:40 remaining in overtime broke a 70-70 tie and lifted the Bluefield University Rams to a 78-70 Appalachian Athletic Conference win over the Reinhardt University Eagles in a tough-fought game Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Reinhardt opened the game on a 7-0 run and Bluefield tied at 7-7.
• BU took its first lead 19-17 with 9:18 to play in the first half.
• The Rams moved ahead by three, but the Eagles drew even with 90 seconds left in the half and led 38-32 at the break.
• Reinhardt led by as many as 14 points in the second half.
• The Rams cut the lead to six with four-and-a-half minutes remaining and to three points, 66-63 with two minutes to go.
• McLellan's trey tied the game at 68 with 6.4 on the clock.
• BU outscored RU 10-2 in overtime to gain the win.

• Volante Carroll recorded his second straight double-double with 18 rebounds and 13 points.
• Elijah White topped the BU scoring column with 16 points.
