CANTON, Ga. – Men's tennis secured its first win Sunday afternoon with a 4-3 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over SCAD Atlanta.
The Rams won the doubles competition as Valentine Suarez and Alessandro Perez defeated their Yellow Jacket opponent 6-2. Michael Gutu and Juan Agudelo took their doubles match by the same 6-2 score.
In singles action #3 Gutu beat Tomas Pacera 6-4, 6-4; #4 Perez defeated Augustya Sharma 6-3, 6-3, and #6 Jared Hoch won by defeault.
Earlier in the day the Rams fell 6-1 to AAC foe Reinhardt University. The Rams' victory came in #2 singles as Gutu defeated Harsh Kheterpal 6-3, 1-6, 10-7.
BU is back in action Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Montreat.
