BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield University women's basketball team snapped a four-game skid in dramatic fashion with an 83-78 Appalachian Athletic Conference win over the Union College Bulldogs, Wednesday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Union opened the game with a 13-0 run and led 23-8 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs led 37-33 at the break.
• Bluefield took control in the third quarter and gained its first lead. The Rams' biggest lead was 19 points.
• The Rams held off a late Bulldogs attack to gain the win.

LEADERS

• Tamera Maples topped the BU scoring column with 19 points and had three steals.
• Kiaa Boyd finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
• Destiny Long dropped in 17 pints along with six rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
• Gabby Nielson added 10 points and six rebounds.
