Volleyball victorious on Senior Day

BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University women's volleyball celebrated Senior Day, Saturday, with a four-set win over the Johnson University Royals 23-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-23. In a pregame ceremony BU honored seniors Nayerly Jimenez and Deyaneira Ruiz for their dedication and service to the program. Jimenez, in her final match at the Dome Gymnasium recorded a double-double with 25 assists and 14 digs. Ruiz contributed to the win, participating in all four sets.
Liangelys Santana also recorded a double-double with 14 digs and 12 kills. Joslyn Evans had a team-high 13 kills. Georgia Lewis led the Rams in digs with 20 and Eledy Torres finished with 15.
The Rams conclude the season on the road.
