Meadows scores 1,000th BU point, Rams fall to Point

BLUEFIELD - Bluefield University's Kylie Meadows scored the 1,000th point of her Bluefield University career Tuesday afternoon but the BU Rams fell 88-73 to the Point University Skyhawks in Appalachian Athletic Conference action at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME
  • Bluefield opened an early 5-0 lead but Point took over and led 23-12 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Meadows scored her 1,000th point at BU in the second quarter. She surpassed the 1,000 career mark earlier this season as she scored 221 points at Oregon Tech.
  • Point led 47-31 at halftime.
  • PU shot 55% in the first quarter and 49% for the game.
  • Bluefield shot 33% in the first quarter and 42% for the game.
LEADERS
  • Meadows scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and had six blocks.
  • Jaydn Hoover finished with 10 points and four assists.
  • Abi Melton came off the bench to score 10 points.
