Rams back on track with 87-72 win over KCU

BLUEFIELD – Kylie Meadows recorded a double-double to lead the Bluefield University Rams to an 87-72 win over the Kentucky Christian University Knights in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Wednesday night at the Dome Gymnasium. The victory snapped a four-game skid.
INSIDE THE GAME
  • The Rams opened the game with a 7-0 run and led 22-14 at the end of the first quarter.
  • BU led 46-29 at halftime and maintained a double-digit lead most of the second half.
  • KCU closed to within eight points at 79-71 with just over three minutes to play in the game, but BU finished the game on an 8-1 run to claim the victory.
  • The Rams shot 48% from the field for the game.
LEADERS
  • Meadows had a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds along with three blocks.
  • Jaydn Hoover tallied 16 points along with three steals.
  • Destiny Long had a season-high 14 points.
  • Emily Breeding finished with 13 points, drilling three three-point shots.
