Box Score BLUEFIELD – It was a barnburner at Mitchell Stadium Saturday night as the Emory & Henry College Wasps defeated the Bluefield University Rams 41-33 in a battle of Southwest Virginia schools.
E&H held double-digit leads twice before BU fought back to within a score, first in the opening half, later in the final minutes of the game. 
INSIDE THE GAME

• Emory & Henry opened a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
• Bluefield's first score came in the second when Jackson Charlton-Perrin stripped an EHC ball carrier and Tavarius Corbitt picked up the loose ball and ran 41 yards for the score.
• Jewels Gray scored on a 49-yard pass from Nathan Herstich to make it 28-13.
• James Thomas rushed a yard for a score and Joey Dales' kick made it 28-20.
• With 49 seconds left in the first half Thomas Lee caught a five-yard pass for a TD and Dales' kick brought the Rams to within a point at halftime.
• EHC scored midway through the third quarter to pull ahead 35-27 and later added a pair of 42-yard field goals to go up 41-27.
• Herstich ran around right end with 1:41 to play to bring the Rams to within one score of the Wasps.
• E&H ran out the clock to claim the win.

• Jewels Gray five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown.
• Nathan Herstich 19-of-42 passing for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
• Tyrese Wolfe eight tackles.
