Box Score BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University men's volleyball split a pair of matches Tuesday at the Dome Gymnasium. The Rams defeated non-conference opponent Alderson Broaddus, then fell to Mid-South Conference foe St. Andrews. In between St. Andrews defeated Alderson Broaddus in four sets.
RAMS VS. ALDERSON BROADDUS
In the opening match of the day the Rams took on NCAA Division II Alderson Broaddus University and claimed a four-set win over the visitors from Philippi, West Virginia.
INSIDE THE MATCH
- AB held its biggest lead in the first set 18-14 before the Rams tied at 19 and went on to win 28-26.
- Set two saw BU lead throughout and take a 25-17 win.
- The Battlers battled back to claim a 25-23 win in the third set.
- Bluefield took the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set.

RAMS VS. ST. ANDREWS
In the final match of the afternoon the Rams battled Mid-South Conference opponent St. Andrews University and fell in three sets.
INSIDE THE MATCH
- The teams battled with each holding the lead in the first set before SAU pulled away for a 25-22 win.
- The Rams had the early lead and later tied at 14 before SAU went an 11-6 run to close the set with a 25-20 win.
- St. Andrews pulled away early but the Rams charged to tie at 14 and take a 16-15 lead. SAU won the set 25-23 to take the match.
