BLUEFIELD - It was a barn burner Sunday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium as the AAC first place Union College Bulldogs nipped the fourth-place Bluefield University Rams 77-75.
The Rams opened an early eight-point lead, 19-11, but Union drew even at 19 and led 38-31 at the half. The second half was close and the game was not decided until Union broke a 73-73 tie with a three-point basket with 44 seconds remaining in the game.
