LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Bluefield University softball split a doubleheader Sunday against reigning AAC champion Brenau University. The Rams took game one 5-4, while Brenau took the second contest 9-2.

"Overall I am super proud of the girls. We split with last year's conference champs. That's a huge win in our book. The girls saw what type of team they can and will be this year. We had different people in different positions due to some being out this weekend and no one complained. They all stepped up and did what they needed to do. We still have a few things to work on before our next game, but nowhere to go but up from here."
