TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. - Bluefield University baseball improved to 5-0 on the young season with a doubleheader sweep of Toccoa Falls College Saturday afternoon. The Rams took game one 10-9 and game two 8-6 to stay unbeaten in the 2022 season.
GAME ONE
The Rams scored seven times in the opening inning and held on for the victory. The Rams got home runs from
Reece Genter,
David Meech, and
Bryce Medlock to gain the win. The Rams had 16 hits in the opener.
LEADERS
- Max Aristy, Cobb, Meech, and Medlock each had a pair of hits.
- Meech and Medlock each had three RBIs.
GAME TWO
Bluefield overcame a 6-0 deficit with eight runs in the fifth inning to gain the 8-6 win. The big blow was a grand slam home run by
Clay Wisner.
LEADERS
- Eligha Lewis and Nate Cobb each had a pair of hits.
- Cobb drove in two runs.
- Wisner picked up four RBIs with the grand slam.
