BLUEFIELD, Va. – Ten Bluefield University spring student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their success in competition and in the classroom.
The Rams were represented by four baseball players, one softball player and five at-large selections. Honorees must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have at least sophomore academic standing while also meeting sport-specific participation requirements.
Baseball was represented by senior right-handed pitcher Noah Burtner, junior infielder Josh Holland, junior outfielder Chris Johnson and senior first baseman Nick Stergiou.
Burtner, a Criminal Justice major from Penn Laird, Va., earned the honor after contributing on the mound for the Rams. Holland, a Business Administration major from Virginia Beach, Va., represented Bluefield as an infielder, while Johnson, a Sports Management major from Glen Allen, Va., earned recognition as an outfielder. Stergiou, an Exercise Science major from Arnold, Md., rounded out the baseball selections after competing at first base.
Softball was represented by junior catcher Chloe Dillow. A Bland, Va. native and Exercise Science major, Dillow earned Academic All-District honors after helping lead the Rams behind the plate.
Bluefield also had five student-athletes named to the at-large Academic All-District Team. Men's volleyball was represented by sophomore middle hitter Richard Cisneros and junior outside hitter Mason Lloyd, while men's golf was represented by juniors Benjamin Bossi, Eetu Kilpinen and Jacob Mitchell.
Cisneros, a Psychology major from Las Vegas, Nev., earned the recognition following his sophomore season with the Rams. Lloyd, a Criminal Justice major also from Las Vegas, Nev., added the academic honor after being named First Team All-AAC during the 2026 season.
On the golf side, Bossi, a Business Administration major from Cordoba, Argentina, Kilpinen, a Business Administration major from Tampere, Finland, and Mitchell, a Psychology major from Doncaster, England, each earned Academic All-District honors following their junior seasons.
The Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in their sport and in the classroom.
