BLUEFIELD – BU men's basketball coach Richard Morgan gained coaching victory 200 Tuesday night as the Rams defeated the Johnson University Royals 75-69 in AAC action at the Dome Gymnasium. Four Rams scored in double digits to spur the victory.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Bluefield jumped an early 10-point lead, 21-11 on a pair of Spencer Hairston treys.
• Johnson went on a 9-3 run to pull to within four. The Royals cut the Rams lead to three with 90 seconds to play in the first half and tied the game at 37 with 40 seconds on the clock.
• Bluefield led 39-37 at the break.
• Johnson took its first lead a minute into the second half, 40-39.
• The Rams pulled back ahead by eight points and the teams battled the remainder of the game.

LEADERS

• Jamal Hinkle came off the bench to lead BU with 20 points.
• Elijah White scored 19 points with five rebounds and three assists.
• Spencer Hairston added 14 points.
• Volante Carroll tossed in 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
