KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The 2022 women's volleyball season for the Bluefield University Rams came to an end Saturday afternoon at the MeadowView Conference Center and Resort as the Rams fell 3-0 to the Bryan College Lions in the semifinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament. Bryan took the match 25-15, 25-17, 25-22.
AAC Setter of the Year Nayerly Jimenez led the Rams with 26 assists. All-Conference First Team member Adriana Soto Alvarez led BU with nine kills and added 12 assists. First Team member
Lauren Sotomayor finished with three blocks as did
Carly Connor.
Georgia Lewis recorded 21 digs.
The Rams finished the season with a record of 22-10 with a 17-4 conference mark. During the season Bluefield had an eight-game winning streak, followed by a pair of losses, then a seven-game winning streak. Bryan handed Bluefield two regular-season conference losses, and AAC regular season champion Columbia International University were the other two conference losses for BU. CIU defeated Bryan for the tournament championship.
