BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University women's volleyball won its eighth straight match 3-0 over Truett McConnell University, Saturday morning in an Appalachian Athletic Conference contest.
INSIDE THE MATCH

• The Rams came out hot, built a 7-0 lead and never looked back in the first set, claiming a 25-12 win.
• Set two saw Truett take an early lead before Bluefield tied at seven, and then went on to take a 25-20 win.
• The third set saw the two teams battle throughout. The Bears went up by four early, and the Rams tied only to see TMU pull back ahead by four. The Rams tied at 20 and went on to take a 27-25 win to claim the match.

LEADERS

• Nayerly Jimenez recorded 30 assists with seven digs.
• Georgia Lewis had 10 digs.
• Adriana Soto Alvarez amassed 12 kills and nine digs.
• Leslie Flores finished with 11 kills and eight digs.
• Lauren Sotomayor had 10 kills and two blocks.
• Carly Connor had five blocks.
