Rams take bite out of Bulldogs, streak is now at seven

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Bluefield University women's volleyball pushed its winning streak to seven games with a four-set AAC win at Union College Thursday night, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21. It was the team's ninth win in their last 10 matches.
Aubri Whatcott led the way for BU with 45 assists. Georgia Lewis picked up 24 digs, Leslie Flores had 19, and Kassidy Brown 14. The Rams had three ladies with doube-digit kills led by Lauren Sotomayor with 19. Jessica Wells tallied 14 and Flores finished with 12.
For Union, MacKenzie Shirley had 18 assists, Alison Smith 13 kills, and Allison Ruddick 33 digs.
The Rams embark on a two-game Georgia road trip Friday, taking on Brenau, then visiting Truett McConnell, Saturday afternoon.
