Softball wins nightcap

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Bluefield College softball bounced back and defeated Union College 2-1 in the second game of Friday's Appalachian Athletic Conference twinbill.
The Rams took a 2-0 lead with a run in the first and another in the fourth. Union scored its lone run in the fifth inning.
Both teams collected five hits. Kenzie Lambert had two safeties for BC. Laken Sparks and Taylyn Strange each had a hit and an RBI, and Claudia Santana had a hit.
Taylor Nunn pitched a complete game in the circle with one strikeout.
The Rams return home for a Senior Day doubleheader against Columbia International University, Monday at 2:00 at Graham Rec Park.
