Softball falls at Union

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Bluefield College opened its final road series of the season with a 12-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference loss to Union College in the opening game of a doubleheader, Friday.
The Bulldogs scored four in the first, three in the second, two in the third, and three in the fourth to invoke the 10-run mercy rule after the Rams batted in the fifth.
Bluefield picked up two hits in the game, singles by Lauryn Bailey and Macy Martin. Jocilyn Thompson suffered the pitching loss. She worked one inning. Madison Koonce pitched the final four.
