BECKLEY, W.Va. – BC softball evened its AAC record at 2-2 and moved to 6-4 overall with a 17-6 five inning win over Kentucky Christian, Wednesday evening in the nightcap of a doubleheader.
The Rams banged out 16 hits in the contest. Laken Sparks was strong for Bluefield going 3-for-4 with seven RBIs. Sparks also picked up the win in the circle for Bluefield as she pitched four innings and struck out one.
Lexi Harmon was 3-for-3, Claudia Santana was 3-for-5, and Kenzie Lambert 2-for-2. Harmon, Santana and Lambert each knocked in two runs.
"Our offense came on again in the second game," said Bluefield head coach Sam White. "We are starting to find a rhythm offensively. We had another strong performance from Laken in the circle. We have a lot of room to grow, but we took a step forward tonight."
