Rams softball blanks KCU

BECKLEY, W.Va. – Softball picked up its first conference win of the season Wednesday afternoon, with a 6-0 win over Kentucky Christian University.
Lexi Harmon tossed a complete game seven inning shutout. She allowed five hits and struck out eight.
At the plate Laken Sparks was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Claudia Santana and Kristina Sanchez were both 3-for-4. Sanchez had two RBIs and Santana had a double. BC rapped out 13 hits in the contest.
"Lexi Harmon and Claudia Sanchez set the tone for us," said Bluefield College head coach Sam White. "Claudia opened the scoring with a big hit and Lexi had a big day in the circle."
The contest was a home game for KCU, but played in Beckley, W.Va., due to weather and field conditions in the Grayson, Ky., area.
