Rams fall late to Bryan

BLUEFIELD – Game two of Wednesday's softball doubleheader saw Bryan College again use the long ball to defeat the Rams. A late inning home run lifted the Lions to a 6-3 win over Bluefield.
The Rams jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first when Lexi Harmon slammed her fifth home run of the season. Bluefield College made it 2-0 in the third when Kristina Sanchez singled and later scored on Chloe Hicks' infield hit.
Bryan tacked a three on the board in the fifth and the Rams tied the game at three in the bottom half of the fifth. The game remained tied until the top of the seventh when Bryan's Hailey Galvan hit a three-run homer.
Taylor Nunn suffered the loss for Bluefield. Nunn worked six-and-a-third innings and had a pair of strikeouts. Harmon was 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs.
