Rams get season's first win

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. - Softball picked up its first win of the season Wednesday, Feb. 10 in the second game against Alice Lloyd College 10-4.
The Rams opened a 5-0 lead enroute to the victory. Eight Rams collected base hits in the contest, led by Claudia Sanchez who was 3-for-5. Lexi Harmon knocked in a pair of runs.
The win was the first at Bluefield College for coach Sam White.
""In the second game our offense got going early and never let up," White said. "We were led by Kristina Sanchez, Laken Sparks and Claudia Santana. Sparks was the winning pitcher in the second game and gave us six strong innings. Taylor Nunn did a great job closing the seventh. We did a nice job coming back to get the split but need to make adjustments earlier on offense."
