Rams fly by Skyhawks

BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield University Rams men's basketball team rolled to a 72-61 win over the Point University Skyhawks Wednesday night in AAC play. The win was the second straight for the Rams, coming off impressive performances at The Show over the Thanksgiving weekend.
 
INSIDE THE GAME
  • Point scored the first two baskets of the game before the Rams went on a 21-5 run to lead 21-9 midway through the first half.
  • The Rams lead was as high as 16 points before Point went on a 7-2 run to close the half. BU led at the break 35-24.
  • BU's largest lead was 20 points with 11 minutes to play in the game.
  • Bluefield shot 47% for the game, Point 43%.
  • The Rams shot 32% from behind the three-point arc, Point 18%.
  • Point made 75% of its free throws, Bluefield 50%.
