Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

BU women run past KCU

BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University women's basketball got back on the winning track with a 67-43 Appalachian Athletic Conference win over the Kentucky Christian University Knights, Wednesday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Rams controlled the first quarter, but KCU took over in the second. BU held a slim 28-26 halftime lead. Bluefield pulled away in the third and led 49-38 headed into the final 10 minutes of play. In the fourth the Rams outscored the Knights 18-5 for the final margin of victory.
Three BU players scored in double figures led by Kylie Meadows who tallied a double-double 1ith 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tianna Crockett added 12 points and Emily Breeding finished with 10.
Bluefield out-scored Kentucky Christian 21-0 off turnovers and the Rams' bench out-scored the Knights' reserves 19-9.
