Tennessee Wesleyan holds off Rams

ATHENS, Tenn. - Women's basketball had strong performances in the second and fourth quarters, but Tennessee Wesleyan held the upper hand in the first and third and held off the Rams 61-55, Thursday evening in AAC action.
The Bulldogs controlled the first period and led 21-11 at the end of the quarter. The Rams charged back in the second and trailed by four at the half, 32-28. Wesleyan increased its lead in the third and led 49-37 going into the final 10 minutes of play. BC outscored TWU in the fourth, but it wasn't enough as the home team got the win 61-55.
Morgan Wylie topped the Bluefield scoring column with 13 points. Tianna Crockett had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Kylie Meadows added 11 points with an assist, while Nialla Curtis finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
The Rams visit Brenau on Saturday.
