Women win at St. Andrews

LAURINBURG, N.C. - Nialla Curtis snagged 19 rebounds and Emily Breeding scored 14 points and dished out four assists to lead the Rams to a 56-44 AAC win Thursday evening at St. Andrews.
The Rams hit the court hot and rolled to a 20-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Rams led 28-17 at the half. The Knights battled, but Bluefield held on for the win. 
Kylie Meadows added 10 points and eight rebounds for Bluefield, while Tiyanna Scott finished with nine points and three assists.
"Our team came out and executed our offense perfectly in the first quarter. We haven't seen much zone this season, so it took us a while to adjust," said Rams head coach Corey Mullins. "I was glad we were able to hit some big shots in the third and fourth quarters to preserve the lead. We definitely left some things to work on, but we were happy to get a road win tonight."
The Rams return home for Senior Day on Saturday against Montreat. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
