BLUEFIELD - Bluefield College honored senior basketball players Kianna Campbell, Kendal Cloninger, Brianna Farrar, Emily Hart, and Haley Turman, and cheer team member Autumn Williby prior to Saturday afternoon's game with Columbia International University, and then proceeded to take to the court and defeat CIU 68-57.
Farrar, a four-year member of the team who had not played due to injury, scored the first basket for Bluefield to the roar of the Dome crowd and her teammates.
CIU held the early advantage, up 18-14 at the end of one and 31-28 and half. It was the fourth quarter when Bluefield took control, out-scoring the visiting Rams 24-10 to take control of the game and gain the win, snapping a six game losing skid in the season's final game.
Campbell had a double-double in her final game with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Turman, also in her final BC contest, tallied 11 points with five boards.
