BLUEFIELD - Three BC Rams scored in double figures, but it was not quite enough as the Kentucky Christian University women's team used a fourth quarter comeback to defeat BC 68-65 in AAC play Tuesday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
KCU took the early lead 19-13 at the end of one, but the Rams closed to within two at halftime, 30-28. BC took control in the third quarter and took its first lead. The Rams' lead grew as high as six and eventually 10 points with six minutes remaining in the game, but the Knights cut it to three within a matter of minutes and retook the lead for good with just under two-and-a-half minutes left in the contest. Morgan Wylie's three put the Rams ahead 65-62. KCU closed the game on a 6-0 run to take the win.
After shooting 37 percent in the first half Bluefield responded and shot 52 percent from the field in the final two quarters.
Cierra Cook topped the BC scoring column with 15 points,
Kianna Campbell added 13 and
Tianna Crockett tossed in 11 with four assists.
Kendal Cloninger led BC with eight rebounds.
