BLUEFIELD - Ave Maria scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away and take a 30-13 win over the Bluefield College Rams, Saturday night at Mitchell Stadium.
A 16-13 game in the fourth quarter, the Gyrenes scored twice to gain the final margin of victory and give the Rams their fourth loss in as many starts in the 2019 season.
Aidan Wilder completed 20-of 36 passes for 166 yards and rushed for another 25 yards, including two touchdowns on runs of 11 and one yards.
Lowell Patron Jr. caught five passes for 52 yards.Â
Defensively
DaMarcus Wimbush had nine tackles for the Rams and Charles Turner had eight stops.
The Rams welcome Emory & Henry to Mitchell Stadium next Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
