Baseball splits twinbill with Reinhardt

Take weekend series against #20 Eagles

EMERSON, Ga. - Baseball split a doubleheader with NAIA #20 Reinhardt, Monday to take the weekend series two games to one after the series was delayed two days due to inclement weather in Georgia. The Rams took game one 3-2, while Reinhardt avoided the sweep by winning the second game 4-2.
The series shifted to a turf field in Emerson, Ga., after the Rams took Friday's opening game. Weather forced postponement of games on Saturday and Sunday before play resumed Monday.
In Monday's first game the Rams pushed across a run in the top of the ninth for a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Eagles. Andreas Holtzer had a pair of hits for BC and knocked in a pair of runs. Alex Perkins went seven innings on the mound for the Rams and struck out six and allowed only four hits. Justin Coleman picked up the win as he worked the final two innings. Coleman did not allow a hit and struck out three.
In the final game of the day and series Reinhardt claimed a 4-2 win to avoid the sweep. Carlos Torres had three hits and an RBI for Bluefield.
