Rams come from behind to sink St. Andrews

BLUEFIELD - St. Andrews scored the first 15 points of the game on five three-point baskets, but the Rams staged a grand comeback and claimed a 63-60 AAC win Tuesday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Knights were hot as they hit five threes on their first seven shots of the game and raced out to a 19-4 lead and led 21-4 at the end of the first quarter. The Rams chipped away at the SAU lead, but the visitors were still ahead 34-21 at halftime. The third quarter was the turning point as BC out-scored the Knights 20-7 in the quarter, making it a 41-41 game heading into the final 10 minutes of play.
After shooting only 22 percent from the field in the first half, BC shot 47 percent in the second half in earning the victory. Cierra Cook topped the scoring column with 17 points and had four rebounds. Kianna Campbell, the AAC Player of the Week, added 14 points, while Kendal Cloninger added 11 points with six rebounds and a pair of steals. Morgan Wylie had nine points.
St. Andrews, after making five threes to open the game, only made three additional long-distance shots the remainder of the contest. While the Knights shot 47 percent from the field for the game, SAU made only 36 percent of their free throw shots.
